Meaning "without end" in Sanskrit, Anantara evokes the endless harmony, freedom and movement that vibrates across each Anantara Resort , being the essence and spirit of the Anantara Experience.

Born in 2001, the Anantara Experience was created with the first ever Anantara Resort in Thailand's historic seaside resort enclave of Hua Hing. With the aim of bringing the guests closre to the rich culture and history of Thailand, they created the charming atmosphere of a traditional Thai village offering experiences such as cooking courses, fruit carving demonstrations, a weekly floating market and even introductions to the traditional Thai martial art of Muay Thai.

Since then Anantara has kept on growing and bringing the Anantara Experience to a global level with further expansion first in the Maldives and later on breathtaking world holiday destinations across Asia and the Middle East with resorts in Indonesia, Abu Dhabi and Oman, China and Vietnam coming soon.
